Introduction to Aeronautical Engineering
Today aviation industry has emerged as one of the biggest pay masters in the present economic scenario offering an exciting ambiance to work and grow. With the introduction of many private airlines and the growing emphasis on strengthening the Indian air Force in the defence sector has resulted in a sudden increase in the number of aircrafts. All these aircrafts need trained technical professional and engineers for their proper maintenance.
Aeronautical engineers apply scientific knowledge to the design, manufacture and operation of bodies and vehicles influenced by aerodynamic forces. The Aeronautical Engineering course imparts multi-faceted training to students in areas like designing, developing, construction, testing, as well as manufacture and development of commercial and defence aircraft, spacecrafts and missiles. Aeronautical engineers also specialize in the maintenance of electrical and electronic equipments, instruments, radar and radio communication and navigation. Here, students learn subjects like Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Aerospace Structures, System Modelling, Dynamics and Control, Aerodynamics of Aerospace Vehicle, and Aircraft Propulsion among others.
Unfortunately there is an acute shortage of proper training institutions for aeronautical engineering (only the four IIT’s and 6 to 8 more govt. engineering colleges in South India have this branch). The demand and supply gap for properly trained aeronautical engineers has prompted the Indian academy to take the initiative of establishing this institute to provide top quality training in tune with the demands of the industry.
We at IAAT aim to prepare the young engineers to become globally competent technocrats for success and leadership in the areas of aeronautical and aerospace engineering disciplines through innovative educational programs with practical orientation.
IAAT IS RUNNING REGULAR CLASSES OF DIFFERENT PROFESSIONAL EXAMINATION CONDUCTED BY DIFFERENT GOVERNMENT OF INDIA RECOGNIZED BODIES SUCH AS AICTE, UGC, MINISTRY OF HRD, MINISTRY OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY, GOVT. INDIA, UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION & IIT’S
Our programme strikes an effective balance between theory and practice by combining conceptual classes with guest lectures from the engineering community, case discussions, technological stimulation, and applied individual and team projects. The trainees enrolled in the programme come from variety of educational, professional, geographic and cultural backgrounds. This diversity creates an exciting atmosphere that fosters creativity, experimentation and material interaction and is one of programme's greatest assets. The Corporate Training programme is extremely demanding and students are under constant pressure: attending classes, self study, working in groups, preparing cases and carrying out practical projects. All this, together with the course content, teaching methodology and the stature of the faculty members, guarantees that trainees are:
Versatile enough to occupy various types of responsible positions in their respected fields.
Adaptable to any type of organisation or situation. Alert to change.
Accustomed to working in teams.
Fully trained in all aviational disciplines.
Equipped to be architects of changes and innovation.
Leaders capable of motivating individuals, groups and organizations.
100% Job oriented. Eligibility for GATE exam to do ME/M. Tech, IIT’s and all the Exams conducted by UPSC (IAS/IPS/IES). Students can apply for posts in State Govt. /Central Govt./Public Sector Organizations like HAL, NAL, DRO, ISRO, VSSC, Indian Airlines, Indian Air Force and all Private Sector Airlines.
